Home to beautiful golden beaches and seemingly continuous glorious sunshine, Long Beach is situated to the south of California. Once the location of a busy scruffy port, this city is now an attractive holiday destination. An hour away from Disney land, Long Beach has a wealth of its own attractions.
Places to see while in Long Beach should include the Aquarium of the Pacific, the Museum of Latin American Art, and the Rancho Los Alamitos Foundation (for its excellent shows and demonstrations of traditional farming techniques). A tour of the docked Queen Mary liner is also highly recommended. Today it offers restaurants, museums, fine authentic art deco surroundings and a hotel.
